I took my stock shovel apart with a 24 tooth engine sprocket 23 trans & 49 tooth on rear sprocket. It seemed kinda low geared. What's a good combo for a freeway flier. Cruising at 75 or 80 MPH?
Thanks in advance

Kinda depends, heavy or a light bike? Loaded down for traveling? For a stocker 4 speed I'd think you were about there. I run 24/23/48 with a 5 speed, a continuous 75-80 is doable. I  have been toying with the idea of a 46 or 47 rear if I could find em.  I'd rather slip a 24 on the tranny then go up and down at the rear until it feels right but 24 and an O ring chain make it  kinda tight for clearance.

Thanks. Maybe that 48 tooth on the rear makes the differance. Cause with the 49 it does seems a little too low. It's a light bike & I ride solo.
Thanks again

I have the 23/48 combo(belt primary, close to stock). I also have a 140/90 rear tire, the taller profile makes a noticeable difference.
