Anyone run the 100" kit (3.875 bore).  They claim its the largest kit you can run with stock cases.  Seems kinda big for stock cases.

Anyone run the 100" kit (3.750 bore).  They claim its the largest kit you can run with stock cases.  Seems kinda big for stock cases.

Whose the manufacturer of the 100" kit you're looking at? It's my understanding that anything over 85" will require case boring.

That sounds like Fatvo/Fatso kits,,,The biggest I know of is a 3 13/16 in stock cases,,this is taken out alot of metal..The V were the cyls meet is real thin..

Hi,,3.750 bore gives about 95 CCI
with stock stroke

Sputhe have bigbore kit to stock cases
but have to be bored out to 4.010 spigot bore
And gives 95.4 CCI,,
I have that kit ,,,but with Sputhe case.

What I saw was the Revolution (plated cylinder) kit and the cases need to be bored. I don't know what the bore size for the case is but the piston size is 3.875.  In the past I have heard some bad things about Revolution cylinders but also some folks are very happy with them.

Hi catmcaw..

The kit you refereed to... 100 CCI
the piston size is 3.875 not 3.750

You are correct.  Not much sleep last night and suffering from brain fade. I'll go back and change to 3.875.

I'm running Rev's 85" kit with no problems. Looked at the 3.875 kit as you are, but did not want to split my low mileage lower end to bore the cases. Give Andrew a call at Rev (1-866-892-2109 X326), he can answer all of your questions and they can bore your cases. BTW, from personal experience they do warranty and stand behind what they sell.

Depends on what you want to do.. I'm no pro nor do I want to
rain on anyones parade, but I have looked at stock cases and stock cases
bored for 3 5/8th pistons side by side.  To me the 'meat' was pretty
thin around the base gasket area.

15yrs ago ,I fitted a set of Sputhe 95"cylinders to a stock set of Evo cases for a customer  and he has had no problems so far!
"BUT" I wont do it again: the cases are just to "THIN",(Thank god the warranty period is over)
I now recommend 3 5/8" bore cylinders as the biggest safe size for stock cases, and have built many of these combinations
The 100" cylinders will require a 4.010" spigot size the same as Sputhe.
