well fer me its prolly closest ill evo git..76 xlch 15k on it been in one barn the cat bought it fum in 1989 then he rode a bit on n off thru 02 n in his barn n has been 6-7 yrs..lil gas n a jumpar batt n the ol girl popped right off..now home woooott woooot wooooot ive awerady rode it round the yard ,,adjusted carb a bit n cleaned up points n she lights off in one kick warm..well see tamara how fires cold..the bettar half made me come in ,,sayun yea youll have it all done in a few daze n then wont have a winter project..shes right!!! well gonna clean it up n decide ifn gonna cut it er nawt,,again this is a stock 76 xlch (so pprolly wont wanna cut it) but i say this evo time i find one..but this is last year of the coverted linkage right side shift...

the ol girl pops right off on second kick cold n 1st warm...but left her sit a few daze n nawt evin a back fire..hope flooded her ain played wid her that much...she dont like that choke thou..2 squirts n has popped right off..but no go yesterday..see today when have sum time...fer sale as is ifn know anybody..a kid wants as is ,,so ain touched it 2500 cash..but ifn dont come up wid it itll be my winter resto project..paint n polish is all she needs,,well once i figure the how ta start after she sits a week  n its 40 here...

mr salty i is in mn..the land of two  fuggan daze of summer!!! (well seems like it this yr..) jus home fer dinner n had me nuthar couple kicks,,this time had brains nuff ta test fer spark instead of lookun see ifn wet...well seems the front cyl plug is dead..rear will fire both front er rear..so rekon afta my real job ill get me sum plugs..rekon theys differnt then ol shovels right? hafta look up the size..i usually run champions cause there cheap like me.. shes kind of a one owner bike n is solid n sounds great ,,no solids er rockers etc noise ..noice n tight ..15k is origanal..was gonna chop it ,,but after lookin close shes stock n gittun rare.. ifn i clean polish n paint cyls etc she be a proud ol skoot again , n hoefully werth mo then 25 im askin as is...paps

sumbeeyuch !!! new plugs n she still dint pop off..checked gas tank ..looked ok.. no super flow out the 8 fuggan foot gas line ,,so wacked in half n remounted n jabbed the ol bendix accel pump a few mo times n bamo the ol girl were sittun there idilun..n one kick there afta..i r really starun ta like this ol bird..thats dangerous to it chop chop hack hack dig!!! mebee i go ahead n make me a ol chop wintar project any ways..lookin at sum a the pix of yous cats rides n mayun i tells ya ..mebee hafta say fug the stock ol girl ain to many that respect that any mo anyways..

the ol girls back ta one kick warm  n two cold ,,she dont like ta be choked (hey who does heyhuh) two chots on the throttle cold n dont evin fuggan look at throttle  warm n shes a hummin like hog,,quick lil cheeyut too..still waitin ta put on rack n clean polish n paint etc..too soon evin thou winter seem ta be tryun early this yr

cool yea lets see it now bro....ain really touched this ol girl ceptin to adjust carb n points a bit... did walk by it a few times last few freezun cold days n wondard ifn she would fire,,,but freak i r ,,i dint try it cause ida had ta stay wid it tell i had it goin,,,but other day curiousity gots the best a me...5 th kick n she took right off..she dont like that choke at all...(n i r used ta enricheners) made me notice the throttle screw is missun...but we went fer a putt round the hood ..i dig that lil rig,,really wanted ta make me a chop er sumthin funky wid it,,,but she so stock,,but mo i fire it up mo special she becomes ,,mebee jus 3 degree cup n a wide glide n solo fendar sittun on tire in rear ...but jus a clean ol stock skooter ain bad neithar...gonna hafta change me name fum paps ta japs ifn i keep buyin up jap jobs...less cash out lay n less profit,,,but rekon profit beyun key werds here,,be good bros,,ain much ridin time left fer me ,,befoe sno,,been cold wet n chitty awready...

Nice scoot Paps!  With that many miles she's just starting to break in.  I've been following your posts from the beginning but the confuser died so couldn't post my 2 cents.  Got a new confuser so...........

Or at least stock-ish.  Prop it up and go through it cleaning and repairing/replacing anything that isn't right.  Perfect winter project!  You have a rarity as there aren't many unmolested ironhead sporties running around these days.  Whatever you decide to do...good luck with it brutha!

wow no doubt on the saltys ride there...shweeett... yo lewie thanks bro..rekon i knowd i hafta keep it as is...really wanted ta cut on n ol ironhead,,but like ya said theys ain many left like this,,n am gittun used ta idear of winter restore ratha then winter chop,,took her fer short putt udda day n shes now on the lift,,n im listin ta olady n nawt touchin ,,er id be done befoe winter n be bummin...now heres sum bocheeyut i read ,,,i read sum where that ony 5200 er so xlch were made in 76 n of them ony 200 er so still had the right side shift cases..(leftovers)..ifn this be the truth then she be evin mo special ...well to me anyways...fug there thousands a shovels out there but she has early 79 fxs (last 74) n i have late 79 fxs (1st 80) n still think thats jus fuggan cool...n still miss my 80 80 flt rubba mount 5spd,,,but the 94 baggar is fun too..mmm well least i seem ta really dig the radio,,wahahahaha
