This bike had a disk front end installed on it. Trying to figure out if the triple trees would have been changed to do that or if the forks were installed in the original trees. The top tree is stamped with part# 45740-62A can that number tell me the type of tree and vintage? . I need to change the risers, bars, and bushings and want to get the right parts without trial and error.

Thanks

Go immediately without delay to your Harley Dealer and buy a Harley Parts Manual and Service Manual for this bike.
You will give Thanks to God that you did so.
The -62A means that part was adopted in 1962. The letter A means it was changed or improved in some way. It may or may not be the correct part for that bike.
The Parts Manual will tell the tale.

+1 on getting the Manuals

The number you see will be the casting number, there is very little chance that it is also the item part number.
