Evening guys, ignition type question

Is the stock points and coil arrangement dual fire? In other words what I am getting at is do both plugs fire when the other cylinder needs to be on fire? and does the coil have polarity?

There are no markings on the coil and when I change that out I of course want to be sure it is wired properly.

  thanks

 Yes it is dual fire.
Where is your factory service manual?
It has the wiring diagram in it.
Don't have one.
Then get one, and the parts manual too.
You say Damn they're expensive.
Once they have been in your hands for awhile you will say Damn why didn't I buy these the same day I bought the bike.
That's what I do.
The positive wire goes on the left side and the wire to the points on the right.

It is dual fire with both plugs firing at the same time.  The coil has no polarity and can be wired up either way without problems.

thanks for the direction guys. I got the factory books, and they were expensive.  The coverage on the coil subject in the service manual is very thin therefore the request for clarification.
