hello to all, does it matter which way the oil hole faces?  the manuel says... facing inboard, but , mine were facing out.  did the factory put them in wrong? or a misprint... ive been told to put them back the way they came out.  still in excel. cond.  thanks .. max...

Yep put em back how (& where) they were. If installing new it don't make no never mind.

Doesn't matter as far as oiling is concerned. While some believe to the contrary, even a roller lifter can develop a wear pattern. If you are using the same cam and lifters it is good practice to replace the lifter in the same location and orientation as it came out. If new cam and "old" lifters .... doesn't really matter but I would still try to match the hole and orientation ... that's just me.
