New front pads are squealing.  Would swapping the left pads with the right pads make a difference?  TIA

This ain't Dodge City, and you ain't Bill Hickock.

They're Ferodos.  Been using them since 1990.  They work well and polish the rotors.  Once before a set squealed which I replaced totally.  Thought swapping them would be worth a try.

Did you try cleaning the rotor and pads with some brake cleaner?? Just a thought.

Caper,
No, I haven't tried Brake Cleaner.  That's a good thought.  I'll try it.

Generally, you can reduce or eliminate brake pad noise by beveling the edges, especially the leading edges with a medium grit sandpaper.  It seems the squealing or squeaking comes from the leading edge when it comes into contact with the rotor.        Marty                      :smiled:
