what it does not sell the engine sportster in the brand new or jobber

Farmer, not sure what your are looking for.  I have a 1994 Sporty, I worked for Harley for 4 years.  I do not know of a XLN1200 in 1994.  Are you looking for an engine or a rebuild kit?  I rebuilt my 883 into a 1203 with Buell and Screaming Eagle parts.

I think you will find that it is impossible to buy a new xlh1200 engine for a 1994 Sportster.
In 1999 if you wanted to buy a new 1200cc motor it would be part number:16051-99.
In 2000 it would be 16051-00.
For a 1994 engine perhaps the part number is 16051-94?

There is a chance that the dealer will be able to order a new engine for 1999 onwards. That is because most manufacturers will support old models up to 10 years after it was built.
There was some frame change or crankcase change in 1995 because the top engine bracket (head steady) is a -95B part number in my 1999 and 2000 parts books. So if you can get an new engine for a bike between 1999 and 2003 it should not be too difficult to persuade it to fit. Do check first!

I think you will have no option but to rebuild your existing motor using either HD or S&S parts.

Harley does not sell new solid mount Sportster motors any more. I tried last year to buy one for a chopper project. I bought a used 1998 low mileage 883 for $1800    It sure beats the high dollar S&S motor. Although I would much prefer the 100" S&S motor but I can not afford one.  You can buy new Sportster motors from Harley but they will only fit the 2004 and up rubber mounted frames.

try fog hollow out of jessup missouri they used to carry 1200 if there still in buisness i was gonna by one for my 88 sporty from them at that time they were 4 thousand dollars
