I installed a Feuling Super Pump in my '03 FLHTI in 2004.

I hope to do cams, heads, cylinders and pistons this winter.

My question is: can my existing Feuling pump be used with the newer style cam support plate (no cam bearings)?

I know that Herkobagger sells the complete kit, but if I can use the existing pump (50+psi running, 30+ at idle, and I like it) why buy the new one?

Thanks.

If you upgrade the camplate you have to the oil pump as well.

OK, but WHY?

Have the mounting hole locations changed?

Is the back face of the new plate that different than the original?

Would like some specifics if anyone can offer them.

Thanks again.

The new camplates Have different oil passages and dont use a o-ring between the pump and plate.

Tatto,

I want to complement you on going above and beyond, especially with providing the pictures, in answering this question.  If this website gave awards for 'stepping up' I would nominate you.  Great job!  You see, your hardwork does not go unnoticed by others!

With great respect,
