97 springer evo with stock carb

hello my buddy has a stock springer he bought in uper newyork brought it down to texas and it runs like crap.well removed the baffles fixin to put a hi flo air cleaner on it and do a rejet. any sugestions on jet size? any articles would be helpful thanks    tom

Good breather and exhaust,I would start with a 180 main and a 45 slow jet. I ran a ThunderSlide kit, Hypercharger, EV27 cam and Hooker 2 into 2 Tune flow exhaust just out side of Houston. Ended up with a 185 high and a 46 low and it ran great and still does even though I have relocated to Vancouver, WA. . This took care of cold naturedness and performed well and still got 45mpg
