i need some help,will 86 883 heads fit a 95 883 want to do a build,and use the 86 heads,they are bathtub shaped

They'll fit, but they don't have the breather  passages for the rocker box breathers on your bike. Simple task to drill and tap them for it though, just use your old heads for the pattern.

seems to be the trick how about pushrod clearence they seem real tight

I don't understand exactly what you're talking about with the pushrods?

the pushrod holes on 86 heads are about 1/8" closer then stock ones when i did mock up with motor pushrod tubes are real close,but i am putting adj pushrods in maybe a little thinner any ideas on this,other wise they look good,just breather and pushrod tubes

ive switched around XL heads a bunch of times,never noticed a p/rod difference,but never really looked either.never had a prob though
