It's in the the service manual. what year and model?

I have a 2004 softail standard FXST

I purchased the assembly new in 2005. I also have the factory service manual for that bike.

I have another post, VPC a few down the list where I explain some of my issue. Look at my last post there (today)

I just wanted to see if I made a mistake or did the intruction sheet tell me to do what I did.
