I changed my oil filter today using the bread bag method to keep the oil from messing up the bike and it worked real well, only lost a  drop or two of oil. To the one that suggested it.
Listen to the jingle the rumble and the roar.

I saw the one that FSG listed in the tools section. That looks like it would work nice.
Whats the process for the bread bag  :pop:
I'm not a proctologist, but I know an asshole when I see one...

FSG -

ITALIAN, OF COURSE  :smiled:
Geez! How did you know? Maire's Italian ($3.19 a loaf).
Remove the bread then slide the bag over the previously loosened filter, gather it up at the filter base end in one hand and unscrew the filter with the other hand while moving the bag around (filter counter clockwise bag clockwise).
When the oil starts to leak from the filter the bag sticks to it somewhat.

I tried the bread bag trick.
Have a sporty.   Had to remove the gas tank (so I could get shoulder leverage).
Removed the regulator and front lower motor mount, otherwise can't get hands around the filter.
Removed front foot peg and shifter to get at filter.
Now, with all that done I put the bread bag over the loosened filter.
WOW, not a drop spilled.
Total time to change the filter= 4-3/4 hours
I can't wait to change my filter again.
Boy did I save some $$$, imagine what a dealer would have charged me.
Everyone wants to change the world but, no one wants to change the toilet paper.

Panzer.............I had to do the same as you except the foot peg....once the shifter was removed I had enough room to just get my super duper oil filter titanium  gizmo removal tool onto the filter.
