Any difference in the 2. Saw a cam advertised on E-Bay as for a 61" Pan. I didn't know there was a difference. And I should prolly ask, What is the Difference ? if any.

The "61" cam was for the "E" motors built between '48 to '52. It was also used in 74 in. "Traffic Combo" Police models through '56 (If I remember correctly ). It had a lesser aggressive profile and duration than the '74 in.  "F" and "FLH" cams making the motor more suitable for low speed traffic crawling.

And if I picked up one from a pile of cams, How would I know it was a 61" cam. Any marks or stampings to make it easy to spot.

They have 61 stamped into it. The F cams are blank,  and FLH cams have an H stamped into them. Anybody, please correct me if I'm mistaken, I'm miles away from my Palmer's and excercising my memory.

And I am assuming the 61 is stamped on the back side of the cam lobe similar to the H cams.
