6 volt to 12 volt generator

anyone use a rebuilder to redo a stock pan 6 volt and convert it to a 12 volt so it looks stock. and I guess I'll add to it a 12 volt coil that looks stock and works

One option is Dr. Dyno at Gem City Vintage.  He's done a few of 'em, heard nothing but good about his work...

I've done this. Just swap in a 12v armature and field coils. They are available and fit just fine.
Also, need to buy a 12v regulator.
As for the coil(s), I'm still running the 6v (dual coils from 1964). I've never had anyone explain to me why using 6v coils in a 12v system was bad and they've worked fine for years.
