Hi All,
Look'n at trying a S&S carb on my shovel have seen it stated that a twin / push-pull throttle cable setup should be used.
Is this correct?
Is it possible to stick with a single cable and use a throttle return spring on the carb?
Thoughts???
Thanks in advance.
Doug.

I'm using a single cable on my super E with no problem. The return spring on the carb is plenty.

I'm still using the original single throttle cable on my '76.  It's been used successfully on an S&S B, E, and now a G.  However, it IS safer to have two cables.     :smiled:    Randy

After a K9, 2 Es and a cv I am still running a single cable.  I can see the point but I just never went with the lawyerized upgrade.

Sure, you can use the single cable if you want.  If you're set up for the dual cables use them.  They work just fine and add a safety factor.  Plus if the pull cable breaks on the road you can swap it out with the push cable and motor off.
