Anyone ever put a stock HD springer on a Sporty? I just bought a 94 883 with two front ends, stock and one from springer heritage. Was wondering if running the springer would cause any problems with handling, weight etc. Also are there any mods that would need to be done to the springer, or would it be a bolt on. I know that years ago some guys would put jap narrow glides on their hogs but they had to drill out the fork stem, machine a new one and weld it in. Would this have to be done on this swap? Thanks

I have seen an early EVO Sportster with a Springer fornt end, I think it was from a Springer Softail. He had raked the frame and was using a proper WLA 45 rear fender.

Handling will change. It probably won't be dangerous... As you have the parts to hand I would try it and see!
