Starting her back up?

I am planning on starting up my 90 Electra glide after a fire that destroyed it. I want to make sure all is OK before I spend much more time and money. My question is what is the minimum that I need to do to start it? I just want to straight wire for now to check out the motor. It burned from the tank forward. I have replaced the carb, voltage regulator,coil and ecu. Any help and insight will be appreciated. Thanks, Dan
