Anyone riding with a portable satellite radio like a Poineer XMP3 ...how's the reception while riding with these little units... can you just put it in your pocket or does it need to be mounted in the open?

I asked about this, liking the option of just sticking the inexpensive thing in a pocket, but wasn't given confidence the reception would be consistent.  Ended up just buying a Zumo GPS with the XM antenna, connecting it to a handlebar mount.

There is a "workaround" however.  Believe you can buy a portable XM radio/receiver and store hours of reception (like at home at night), then just listen to the stored content while you ride with the radio your pocket.  No need for reception.

That a pretty good work around... and it looks like the XMP3 can record five channels at once or play back MP3 files... not a bad sound system for $200...
