Copper head gaskets

Have any or you ever run copper head gaskets on your EVO's. I ran them for years on my shovels but they have a ring (fire ring) around the cumbustion chamber. Don't know if that makes a difference or not. The copper gaskets are available in a variety of thicknesses which would allow me to play with my compression a little.

Just to clarify. On the shovels there is a ring around the cylinder bore that fits into the head.

They will seep/leak. Not a good sealing gasket on an Evo. More of a "shim".

I have had great luck with the three piece Cometic gaskets on Evo and TC.  They come in different thickness also.  Accell use to make different thickness base gaskets that were nice for setting deck hieght and squish.  I think they got out of the gasket buissness.
