fwd controls 2008 nightster

my girl has an 08 nightster and I am looking for a set of fwd controlls for her.  the kicker is she is short, and the stock fwd control kit is a bit long for her.  does anyone know if there is a fwd control kit that is not as fwd as stock?  if that makes any sense.  she would be able to use a stock fwd control set up it the air cleaner didnt stick so far out.  so i either need to find a fwd control kit for short people, or I need to find a lower profile air cleaner for her.  any ideas would be helpful, thanks.

The aftermarket might have something that would work.
Other than that, are you handy at making things? Or do you know anyone who is?
My first attempt would be to make a bracket that goes from the standard mid-mount footrest mountings to where the forward control mounting point is. I would use 1/4" thick steel. Then I would attach the forward controls to that.
