What's the best head gaskets for a "69" sporty. Also what is the re-torque sequence?

I just overhualed my '69 and went from copper to teflon. The copper leaked. The teflon made a world of deference and gave me better compression. J & P has them.

I ran Teflon for years the only thing I did was ride about 10 or 20 miles and retorque them or they would blow when I whacked it.

I've used copper with Copperkote spray for 30 years with no problems. Just torque to 65 ft/lbs. in three steps 20 lb. apart. Use a crossing pattern.
