Rocker arm shims

I cleaned up the rocker assemblies today and measured end play. One was .012, the others were .014". I was wondering how tight I can go with these, can I add a .010" shim to all of them? My thoughts were the aluminum supports expand farther that the steel rocker arms so .002" clearance cold should not be a problem.
Then where to get shims? What do the rocker shafts measure? I am too lazy to go back out and measure! We are in the middle of a blizzard right now and I have 4 feet of snow some places in the driveway! Its a bitch to get outr there!!
