after market flasher unit

Whilst rewiring my bike fxdl , I removed the alarm, which is a combined alarm and flasher unit. I have heard that there is a flasher unit without the alarm, is there a generic unit that I can buy and wire in myself?

I cannot use a standard flasher unit, as on the bike , there is a separate switch for each side indicator, and these switches only provide power whist they are pressed down, as soon as you let go the contact is broken.
