Fork Oil Weight - fxst

Should there be any correlation between fork oil weight and rider weight?  In the past, I've put the SE heavy weight oil in the forks, and liked it.  I'm getting an 04 fxst used from a dealer, and as long as I'm having a couple of other things done am thinking about getting the heavier fork oil put in.  It's been so long since I've had a softail with regular weight oil though, I don't remember what it was really like.  I weigh only about 145, so am wondering if I should stick with the regular weight.  My recollection is that I thought the heavier weight smoothed out some rough areas on the freeways around here, but it might have been my imagination.  What exactly should one expect from putting heavier weight oil in the forks?  Thanks.
