About time to clean my a/c filter. It is the one that came with the Ness sucker. What are some of the ways you guy like to clean yours.

I bought and use the K&N recharger kit. Spray the cleaner---looks feels like 409-  soak and wash /rinse with warm water from inside out.  Do not use compressed air-it will tear it if you are unlucky.

Simple Green works well as a cleaner.

Pending filter but I like for a fabric filter, cleaning with gas by swirling it around for a few... not soaking and leaving it in the gas for any long period of time and then soak and wash with simple green or dawn dish soap(like Dawn best)..simple green does seem to to leave a bit of a residue film behind that Dawn doesn't, always rinse from the inside out for awhile before rinsing the outside, so you dont push the dirty rinse back into the filter.    I've tried soap and SG first and just for kicks rinsed again in gasoline and was suprised at the dirt and oil that still came out.  This is the the way my old man taught me and has always worked well for me.
