Changing tank and gauges on 83FLHT

Anyone attempt to install a different tank ( fat bob, road king etc) on an 83 FLHT or similar style frame???
Any modifications needed or other info would be greatly appreciated !! Also I plan to change the gauges etc with the
tank change. Thanks in advance !! PT

put a stretch on my 80 flt...then switched that out fer a um rekon maybe it were n 03 tank..purty straight foward ..i left the newer tank ride lil high up front fer dif look..i still have the stretched ifn innerested..she was a 500 tank (when the foo 1st bought it),,its in white wid black sides too..sold this bike sosin rekon i could sell tank too

Pappy, appreciate the offer - I'm lookin at putting a road king style tank on her, kinda like ya have in the pic.

I have 1985 FLHt with.
-97 Road King tank.
-07 dash panel.
-07 seat.
-Shovel head nacelle.
Stock speedo not on work,I use Sigma bicycle speedo.
