Hello i have a chance to buy a 2001 heritage it has only 11000 mile on it and i would like to know if there were any problems with the 2001 bikes?

No problems, my '01 Softail has been a great bike, go for it.

Owned a 2002 Heritage that was the same as the '01, and it was an oustanding ride.  Zero issues.

I had one as well. Great bike. Only thing to look out for is the cam chain tensioner shoes. Quite a few wore out very early. -Keith

I have an '02 Heritage with ~55K miles.

No problems, and I plan to keep it for a long time. 

I did replace the cam chain tensioners at about 30K before a long trip.  The inner was worn 40%- 50%, and could have gone a lot longer.  I'll do them again around 75K, I guess.

  If it's still pretty much stock, I'd say go for it. If it has extensive mod's done to the engine, then find out as much as you can about the build. It could save you some headaches down the road. I know all about that scenario!

The 01's are great bikes!

my 00 has close to 60 K

ALthough it's had several motors..

  GREAT Bike... BUT the cam chain tentioners are a issue with them...
my 02 has close to 50 thou Kms..  the cam chain tentioners were about 1/2 worn.. 
changed the cams over to Andrews 26's and Gear drive..

That's my ride.....2001 FLSTC Heritage Softail.......over 23,000 miles and no real problems.  I love this bike.  Buy it.
