Installing my EV27 cam and the instructions mention changing the stock ignition to a sportster or Eagle ignition to gain higher RPMs.  Is this worthwhile?  I see a lots of sportster ignitons on fleabay.

AFAIK, the Sportster module curve is different than a BT curve.

A standard SE module is set at 6K, you won't be hitting that with an EV27 or making any more power.

Look for a Dyno graph where the only mods to the bike are breathing and an ev27. It's a great bolt in cam, but you will see what Buddy is saying power curve wise.
