This question has probably been asked alot but I don't remember the answer. When pressing the stock cam gear onto a new cam stick (to keep noise down) how do you verify that the gear is being pressed on in the "right orientation". There's no keyway on the cam gear that I can see. The new cam stick has what appers to be some sort of keyway but how does it relate to the gear. How does a shop know that they've pressed it on right.

You need to mark the cam gear EXACTLY 180 degrees from the cam/pinion mark(should be 20 teeth on both sides from top mark to bottom mark).The line you have marked ACCURATLY should be centered in the middle of the slot on the cam.Press away,and you're done.  :up:
