I"m considering putting the Harley polished rotors on, and I was wondering if they hold their shine.Maybe a waste of money. Any body have any experience with these? Is braking affected any?

I installed a set of polished rotors (that I purchased from ebay) last winter.  In the spring, I noticed that the
braking was a little slippery, until the pads scuffed the rotors.  Only the contact area gets scuffed (obviously)
the rest of the rotor still looks like it did when they were new.
The looks are also much better than stock.

Yeah, I agree, it doesn't take long until the nice, shiny rotors are scuffed again by the pads (stock pads anyway).  But the rest of the rotor stays nice looking.  I did mine last winter and they still look good.
