Why does it seem that nobody uses the Screamin Eeagle cams, Is there any real problem with them?

Sonny S.

Nope, SE Cams are fine. I've used them. Just that there are other grinds out there that sometimes suit the build better.

FWIW, SEH-4 is a gas hog. Cost me 6-8 MPG compared to fireball 316-2B

Runs like a champ though.

Most brands are reputable.....inclusive of SE.   whatcha thinkin about doin? and on what bike?

It's probably more important to look at cam characteristics to match what you are doing then to worry about whether they are SE or Crane or Andrews, Or Woods...etc....

considering SE-4 for my 99 Springer. Doing a topend and looking to upgrade. Maybe higher compression, cam and carb jetting.

I had SE 203's in a 2000 Heritage. Ran fine, no problems!

The old SE-3 for the Evo is the same cam as a Andrews EV-27 .
