This is almost as enjoyable to me as the sound of a Harley. There is a m/c toward the end of the video so I can claim it is m/c related. If they ever get the cost down, I'm in line to buy one.

Excellent video! I got to do a lot of work with some electric powered Ford Escorts in the early 80's. My employer was the Motorcraft battery distributor in the area, and they bought the cars off of Wisconsin Electric. They were in sad shape, so they had me just go over everything. Pretty much just swapped out wire for wire (soldered as opposed to crimp connectors), cleaned everything up, and replaced all the batteries. The prettiest one we used for demos.

They had 28hp motors mated to the stock Escort transaxles and ran on 108vdc (18 6v batteries). They topped out about 50 -55 mph, but were fun as all get out to run around in.
