OT Axle Lugnut Covers

Today is Festivous and I have a grievance with the axle covers on my Chevy Pickup. For those not familiar with what I'm talking about the covers that cover the axles and the lug nuts keep coming loose. Is there anything I can put on the threads on the outside of the lug nuts so those plastic caps that screw onto them stop wanting to walk off the lugnut.
Those caps aren't cheap.  TIA ........RK101

A little rtv silicone oughta do it, and they'll still be easily removable.

take them off and put them in the tool box vehicle looks like shiat but when its time to sell none are missing :crook:
