i found a 2008 night rod with 1k miles for 10k is that a good deal? also any problems with this model i should know about

Good miles on it but if you shop around you can probably pick one up for 8.5 to 9k.  No problems with that model, it's one of the better years for rods.  With only a 1k miles on it, the motor isn't even broke in yet :).  10k is a good price but I think you can find one cheaper.  I'd offer the guy 9k for it and see what he says.  Goodluck.
