I have used the Screamin Eagle 17997-99A pushrods in the past.I like the fact they are easy install & you don't have to remove the rocker boxes when installing them. But,I had issues with them. The threads seem weak & they can hit the tubes or rocker boxes, espically if they have been taken out to install new cams or adjusted a few times.I see where Harley has a new tapered adjustable w/tubes #18404-08 how are these?Regards,Tom

They are steel and better but that said use the perfect fit if you can or if using big cams use a very rigid rod like Smiths

S&S 5095 adjustables are plenty stiff and very good threads.  Be sure to clean up the lip left in the ID the upper pushrod tube left by upsetting the flange on the top of the tube.  Also helps if the rocker boxes are centered properly.
