Anyone using the crane 5-1300 155 lb springs on a set of heads with a 0.575 lift cam?

While crane say they coil bind at 1.080 from 1.800 which should allow 0.720 - 0.060 or 0.640 lift.. Seems like they should work well.

Some of the old docs said they were good for 0.560 lift.. 0.575 seems like a piece of cake..

Seems like you answered your own question Max.
I plan on using the same springs, but it’s for .550 lift.
If it ain't broke... Fix it until it is.

Max,

I'm running those springs with the Wood TW6-HG cams that have 0.590" lift and they work fine.

Yup, piece o' cake. I used them in a friends '03 with Woods TW5G's (.575 lift), 6 years and 40K later it's still running fine.

Bruce,   I know you don't agree with John on the Viton seals but he knows his springs, {and Seals] I use just what he said on 570-575 lifts all the time with no problems.

Yep, John knows his stuff.. Nice thing about crane springs is that they work with either Viton or K-line seals..  Max
