fuel gauge

hey guys
i have an 02 road king with the blue and red lights for a fuel gauge question is can i change it over to a regular empty full guage with a needle and what do i have to do to change it?

if you have 3 wires running to gas gauge yes i do not know what year they changed but i do know it wont work on a 2000 model it only has two wires,
