Installing an EV27 and need to remove the old stock cam gear to put on the EV27. Whats the best method to removal/install cam gears without buying the expensive tool?

A press works great if you have access to one.

Make sure to scribe a mark on the cam gears from the notch on the cam to keep your timing close.

Thanks, guess I'll make myself a homemade press.

I might try using a large c-clamp. Put the clamp in a vise and then the cam and gear in the clamp. if you shrink the cam and heat the gear it should slide right together.
I use a press, but if I didn't have one...
