Daytona twin tech connection issues...Help (resolved)

2004 softail DTT 88A


Installed software, upgraded from DTT site to v7

connect link cable to bike and pc, drivers installed, checked hardware and it is in port 7, open dtt software select port 7,

I get a rs 232 timeout error, firmware id failed.

I realize the white jumper must be installed into pin one and I installed it, Where do you connect the other end? The diagram shows the TACH line and how do I do to connect it in line with the wire?  Do I cut the wire and splice?

Any help would be great

Needed to remove a pin at the DTT module main wire harness connector and install the jumper inplace of the wire that was there.

Now it works,,,,,,,
