tune up

ok guys this post is for my dad he has a 95 heritage softail he wants to tune it up some is there anything specific to tune it up besides plugs and fluid ect. thanks!

Not really much more than that other than adjusting primary chain and belt. Unless he wants to do some basic improvments such as carb modifications, a CV responds well to small improvments and won't cost a lot to do.

No points to worry about unless someone modified the bike back to points. 

Other things to add to the list are air filter, tire pressure check, suspension pressure check.

When did he last change the other fluids (trans, primary, forks)?

Check the timing while you're at it.
I checked mine (a '96) at about 20K miles (I just assumed it was good to go since I got it new) and it was way off.
Since electronics don't shift like that, they had it messed up from the get go from the factory (still had riveted timing cover).

Take your time and review everything.  You might find something that's off a bit.
