I'm tryin to get my 61FLH rear wheel back together correctly after the former owner cut and bashed a bunch of parts. I now have the correct axle, axle sleeve and all the spacers except one. I need the backing plate spacer that goes between the backing plate and swing arm. Can anybody tell me the thickness of the backing plate spacer or where I can find one?

it's real hard to get an accurate measurement on an assembled bike, Looks to be just shy of one inch, Best I can tell. I have a spacer here that will go over the axle sleeve but looks to be about maybe around 1/16 of an inch shorter  J&P cycles catolog page 654, J&P part number 240-121  OEM number41596-58 Side plate spacer 14.99... Good luck...Mule...

Thanks Mule, I picked one up at Nicks in Wiliamstown, NJ. Also ended up bringing home a very nice oem rear brake drum for 58-62 as mine is in need of one.  :teeth:
