O.T. '05 F150 MAP sensor

Have a P0106 check engine code....MAP sensor circuit.... Anyone know where the MAP sensor is located?

let me guess,you have an egr valve with the sensor and controller all built together(called an esm)? if so this is where the pcm gets its map reading from.the 4.2 does not have an actual map sensor .

There is a t.s.b for diagnostic on that code. Sertch the ford website for t.s.b.05-3-1.Without a scanner you may have trouble with diagnostic.

Thank you VERY MUCH for the tips. I found the TSB and the EGR valve assy. (now that's a thing of beauty....ha ha) from the tips you gave me, and the diagnosis will now be easier. (I do have a scan tool to collect data) Thank you both again.     Dyna
