Sleeping, drinking, messing around?
Not me. Nope, my OL came up a few minutes ago just as I was falling asleep.
The way she was barking, I thought the house was on fire.
Turns out she says there's a mouse downstairs. Well, we do live in the woods ya know 
Now we (she) does have three cats. They'll catch it, right? Wrong.
She feeds them like kings. Think they want to go chase and kill a mouse for a dinner?
Well one of them did enjoy the "hunt", so I joined in.
After ten minutes of hiding here and there, the cat chased it into an old floor light that is cyclinder shaped.
I placed a top over it and started to look at it while going to the door.
That wasn't no mouse, it was Alvin. You know, the Chipmunk!
Cute little sucker. I was going to leave it on the porch as it would freeze and die overnight.
But not Alvin! Nope. Last I saw of good ol Alvin, he was taking an Evil Knevil leap off my deck from the second floor trying to make a clean get-a-way.
Run Alvin run. Good luck Alvin.
Better get some band aids for those cuts

haha, Jam, good story. We have a cat door and three cats, and the youngest will bring a mouse or gopher in to play with, sometimes they're alive, sometimes dead. Usually right around 11pm.

Forgot about those days....

Yep!  Rotating shift sucks!  Second shift last week, third shift this week, and "hell" week next week (start with 12 hour days and finish with 12 hour nights).  Getting ready to eat breakfast (supper) and couple of hours of leisure and then back off to work.  Worst part is when it is nice out on the weekend and I am either sleeping or working   Y'all take it easy.  Later, Calvin.

Update -

It is with deep regret that I must inform you, that "Alvin" is deceased.
The exact cause of his demise has yet to be determined.
He lays in rest by the river, under the old oak tree.

Maybe now I can get a good nights sleep.
