Swap 06 1200C front end

Anyone done it or guidance on changing the 21inch skinny front end on an 06 1200C for a wider, 17inch set up? What you do about ground clearance reduction? Aftermarket front end used? Twin disc set up? UK, Essex lad, well a bit older than a lad really...

I'd presume that reduction in hoop size will significantly sharpen the steering. (Also Essex - sorry).
