I am doing a 883-1200 conversion on a 2005 XL883, does any one make 1200 conversion valves with a 7mm stem?

PC_Hater

NRHS do.
The Hurricane 7mm stem inlet valves are available in 1.585" standard 883 size and 1.715" oversize.
And similarly for the exhaust too.
Kibblewhite and others probably do too.

The 86-03 conversion valves have a .060" shorter stem to retain valve clearance, not sure if I could change guides and springs and use the earlier valves?

PC_Hater

Dunno.
Would spring bind be a problem with a shorter valve stem?
Move too far from the standard recipe and you have to either know what you are doing or pay someone else that does!
But NRHS do sell the parts for converting a 2004-on rubber mount to 1200, including the 7mm stem valves.
