Had a small toilet leak (fresh water) that damaged this drywall.  I hope there's a way to just dig out the drywall near the crack, retape, add another layer or two of mud, sand and paint.  Will it look OK?

as long as it's dried out behind the wall itl work fine.. prime the area with Kilz or Bin before you paint it though.. good luck

If there is any wood behind those corners, see if you can put a few drywall nails right on the cracks. Then take a the pointy end of a can opener and vee the cracks out before you mud. I agree that you need to put some stain blocker on all the stains before you paint.
