wrg. name on air line ticket ??

 I bought a  RT ticket threw priceline for a friend for az bike wk.forgot about her present   last name  for ID and used  her madian  name . airline wants $150- to change the last name , total B.S. can't get to a person at price line  to talk about it, just the usual b.s. recorded mess. anyone had to deal with this and is there a simple way to fix it.? any airline inside people that know how to get it done ?  thanks .

Not much you can do on a PL purchase. Any chance she still has some old ID? Passport or something.

My brother in law bought 2 tickets on line but he failed to put 1 ticket in wife's name.
She was refused a boarding pass, they had to delay their trip for a day to get it straightened out.
Homeland Security I guess.
