another 05 ultra intercom question

Sonny S thanks for the help , quick question , I  disconnected  the console pod on the tank ,now  I wanted to
want to remove the passingers intercom wiring in that wiring jacket it also has the rear speakers and it goes under the gas tank
can I cut and cap those wires or do I have to disconnect them under the fairing ...if so what needs to be done with
the ultra overlay harness......
