left front turn light09

09 v-rod muscle. fell over and broke left tuirn light. light is incorporated in the mirror stem. took mirror off stem. having trouble getting at the wire to take the stem off to replace. any clews on this

oh ha want a pain in the butt ,best to disconnect from the terminal block and remove whole unit and then dissassemble
